Our mission is to support underserved youth in Singapore by providing education, mentorship, and resources to help them thrive in today’s world. Our ministry ethos represents the core principles that bind us together. It outlines our purpose, the values we adhere to in fulfilling that purpose, and our collective responsibility to those we serve. While we embrace diverse approaches, we remain united in our mission of youth evangelism, striving to make a positive impact on the lives of young people across Singapore.

Our Purposes

We aim to lead every believing young person to obey Christ and be fruitful to Him in service. Tim 4:5
We aim to prepare and equip every believing young person for the mission of youth evangelism. 2 Tim 3:16-17
We aim to mobilize other believers for the work of youth evangelism. Matt 9:35-38
We aim to impress upon people that the stewardship and responsibility for youth evangelism go beyond the shores of Singapore. Acts 1:8
We aim to build a strong and supportive community for young people where they can grow in their faith and relationships with one another. Ephesians 4:16
We aim to provide opportunities for young people to actively serve in local communities and in global missions. Matthew 28:19-20
We aim to nurture a heart for social justice, teaching young people the importance of helping the marginalized and the needy. James 1:27
We aim to foster partnerships with churches, ministries, and organizations to strengthen the body of Christ and expand the reach of youth evangelism. Corinthians 12:12-14
We aim to raise up young leaders who will disciple others and be active in their local communities. Timothy 2:2
We aim to encourage young people to embrace their identity in Christ, building a firm foundation of faith, hope, and love. Colossians 2:6-7
We aim to provide training and resources that will help young people effectively share the gospel in today’s digital age. Romans 10:14-15
We aim to empower youth to use their God-given gifts and talents in creative ways to glorify God and serve others. Peter 4:10-11

Our Principles

We accept that giving our resources is a necessary part of our expression of what service to God is. We will do our best to ensure that all our ministry activities are self-supporting. We will avoid being wasteful or lavish in our spending. 1 Thess 2:9
We accept and willingly participate in raising our own financial support because we believe:
- It allows us to exercise our faith in God whom we believe provides for all our needs. 2 Cor 9:8
- It allows those who support us financially to be in partnership with us in youth evangelism and missions. Phil 1:5, Phil 4:15-16
- It will benefit our financial supporters. Phil 4:17
We recognize that leadership is our responsibility but servanthood is our position. Mk 10:42-45
We will respond quickly and creatively to changes in order to be effective in youth evangelism and yet remain true to the preaching of the apostolic gospel. 1 Cor 9:19-23
In their first encounters with SYFC, we would like:
- Non-Christian youths to see SYFC as an organization that provides meaningful fun. Ecc 11:9-10
- Believers to see SYFC as a movement committed to youth evangelism. Jn 4:34-38
We will prioritize discipleship and spiritual growth in our youth ministry, believing that our strength comes from a strong relationship with God. Col 1:28-29
We are committed to prayer, as we believe it is foundational for all ministry and personal growth in Christ. Phil 4:6-7
We will maintain integrity in all areas of ministry and relationships, being honest, transparent, and true to the teachings of Christ. Prov 12:22
We will actively seek out ways to serve the local community, helping to meet both spiritual and physical needs, reflecting Christ’s love. Matt 25:35-40

Our People

We will seek to build up each believing young person to a deeper maturity in Christ by taking genuine interest in his or her life. 1 Thess 2:7-12
We will invest our time, resources, and effort in our volunteers and staff members in order to equip and build them up to a deeper maturity in Christ. Col 1:28-29
We will responsibly teach God’s Word and help each young person become the person God wants him or her to be and do the things He wants him or her to do. 2 Tim 2:15
We will cultivate a culture of mentoring and discipleship, encouraging older believers to invest in the spiritual growth of younger believers. Titus 2:3-5
We will provide consistent and supportive relationships for young people, guiding them through the challenges of life with love, grace, and biblical wisdom. Prov 27:17
We will promote spiritual accountability among our youth, encouraging them to grow in their faith and to hold one another accountable in love. Gal 6:1-2
We will strive to create an environment where each person can feel valued, accepted, and empowered to use their gifts and talents for God's glory. 1 Cor 12:4-7
We will encourage young people to develop a heart for missions, to see beyond their immediate surroundings and be part of God’s global plan. Matt 28:19-20
We will prioritize the development of the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—by encouraging healthy habits and lifestyles. 1 Cor 6:19-20
